I grew up in Vernon, New Jersey and have worked as a professional musician since graduating form the University of Rochester in 1996. I've played arenas with jam bands while dressed as a robot (Sonar, 2000-2003), attempted to salsa dance while touring the country with a dozen people in an RV (Chupacabra, 1997-2001), been replaced by a mechanical bull after three years of taking requests (The Reef, 2004-2007), and backed up a handful of international recording artists. For a while I was also a booking agent (national agency Watermark Media) - small-time, but full-service.

In the fall of 2010, I began medical school at the University of Colorado. I sometimes work as a dueling pianist Sing Sing in Denver. Notable events in my recent past include taking a trip to Disney World, adopting triathlons as a pastime (finishing them, not winning them), kindling a love affair with the iPad, crying like a baby during the finales to "Battlestar Galactica" and "Lost," having ten seconds of recorded piano cut from the original score to a major motion picture, getting my daughter off of training wheels, and never eating "Rocky Mountain Oysters" or "Balut." Someday, I would like to learn Spanish and Final Cut. My hobbies include web design and upholding the stereotype that Asians are Mathletes.
